Hosted by The Dubliner Magazine as Part of St. Patrick’s Festival
On the eve of St. Patrick's Day, The Dubliner magazine invited you to a lively discussion as a panel of outspoken Irish personalities presented the reasons the world has cause to salute the Irish on 17th March.
A unique free event Voices: A Night of Big Ideas provided a platform for audiences to take part in an entertaining examination of the people, achievements, innovations and historical turning points that came from this island. Forthright opinions were put forward as leading commentators included Kathryn Thomas - RTÉ presenter and travel journalist; Abie Philbin Bowman - comedian and broadcaster; Carol Hunt - Sunday Independent; Naoise Nunn - political consultant; Leviathan organiser, playwright & author Ulick O'Connor; Gerry Godley - broadcaster & music promoter and Ruairi Quinn TD. All speakers challenged the traditional view of Ireland, demolished and rebuilt reputations and encouraged heckles from the audience. The event was Chaired by Eamon Keane - Newstalk presenter and musician.
This event took place in one of Dublin's most popular venues and was followed by a drinks reception sponsored by Heineken Ireland.
