SUCCESS WITH THE 2010 ST. PATRICK’S FESTIVAL MOBILE GUIDE!
Based on the success of the downloadable Mobile guide in 2009, St. Patrick’s Festival, in conjunction with MobaNode, further developed this exciting and in-demand feature by introducing a free St. Patrick’s Festival iphone App available from the Apple iTunes App store and a java based mobile phone guide.
We're delighted to announce that the iApp went to Number one during the week of the Festival, and featured prominently in the ‘new’ section on the iApp Store. The App ousted Google Earth as Top Travel App! The Application was downloaded by users in 31 different countries with Ireland, the UK and Italy being the top three download locations.

Details of the 2010 Festival Mobile Guide
To help visitors and natives alike make the most of their Festival time, St. Patrick’s Festival, in conjunction with MobaNode, developed a handy mobile guide to the celebrations.
The St Patrick’s Festival Mobile Guide application contained information on the 6 day programme of events and allowed you to search through all the events happening during the festival and gave details of the event, including ticket price, data and time. Included in the Mobile Guide was an interactive map, allowing you to navigate around Dublin to see where and when each event was taking place. It proved to be the ideal way to keep track of what was on and where, all from the palm of your hand! While the Mobile Guide mostly included Dublin-based events, it also covered the Skyfest in Limerick city.
This FREE Mobile Guide was available in two ways –

For iPhone – By visiting the iTunes App Store and search for “St Patrick’s Festival” or use this

- For Java Handsets (e.g. Nokias, Sony Ericssons, Samsung, LG etc) by simply texting “patsfest” to 51315 to receive a download link.
