Seize the Opportunity

We would like to invite you or your client to seize the opportunity and become part of our National Festival. By taking part in the festival your client will have the opportunity to promote their brand in a fun and dynamic way among members of the public.

There are various ways for you or your client to become involved, some of which are listed below.

  • Pre Parade Sponsorship
  • Céilí – Area Sponsorship
  • Big Day Out
  • Sampling Opportunities

Pre Parade
Thursday March 17th 2011

Pre Parade gives sponsors the opportunity to promote themselves or their product at St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Pre parade sponsors have the opportunity to travel the parade route prior to the start of the parade. This allows them to communicate with the parade audience as they wait for the parade to begin. Last year some 670,000 people came to watch The Simpsons and Pringles at pre- parade. In the past Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and the 11850 Boys have walked the route as part of pre-parade. The opportunity exists to sample along the parade route in an agreed area.

Céilí – Area Sponsorship
St. Stephen’s Green North

St. Patrick’s Day sees St. Stephen’s Green North transform into the site of the world’s largest outdoor Céilí. This is one of the staple events of the festival and draws crowds of 20,000 over the course of the afternoon. Popular MCs and world renowned Céilí bands take to the stage to encourage everyone to get up and dance.

Opportunity exists for you or your client to sponsor an area at the Céilí. At this area, brand ambassadors can sample product to the audience and branding can be put in place. You or your client can also provide their own entertainment to compliment the event, such as face painting, take home photographs etc...

Big Day Out
Merrion Square

With more than ten zones to suit everyone from tots to teens, Merrion Square will be transformed into a hub of activity. Featuring acts from Ireland and around the World, you can expect amazing performances, fun workshops, quirky installations, spectacular puppetry, storytelling, a circus and lots and lots of games.

With footfall of over 60,000 people in one day, Big Day Out provides the perfect platform to sample to a huge audience in a unique and fun setting. Sponsorship opportunities include association sponsorship on the whole event and zone sponsorship.
