Of Gunslingers, Tarantulas, Elvis and Walt - A Global History of the Irish Abroad:

Tying in with The Gathering theme this fascinating talk will focus on exiles and refugees and will be researched and presented by Turtle Bunbury.

Turtle is a best-selling author, award-winning travel writer and historian based in Ireland. He is the co-founder of Wistorical, a new online concept in the distribution of historical knowledge. In June 2012, he co-hosted the extremely successful inaugural History Festival of Ireland at Lisnavagh House. Turtle is also the founder of ‘Your History in a Book’, creating thoroughly researched and handsomely illustrated family histories, presented as leather-bound books and was one of the co-presenters on the ‘Genealogy Roadshow’ a four part series on RTÉ1.
