St. Patrick’s Festival and IFI the first of their two special presentations from the Irish Film Archive as part of their the IFI Archive at Lunchtime series.
St. Patrick’s Pix’s features the short Hollywood drama Trial at Tara (1953), an Amharc Éireann Newsreel from St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin in 1960 and Ireland in Spring (1957) documenting the pageantry of An Tóstal a national celebration with an aim of attracting tourists to the country in the Springtime.
IFI Archive at Lunchtime is a series of free screenings curated from the IFI Irish Film Archive collections. The Archive includes over 30,000 cans of film made in and about Ireland from 1897 to the present day.
IFI Archive at Lunchtime: St. Patrick’s Pix will be shown on Mondays, Wednesdays and on Saturday Lunchtimes throughout March.
