Lavender Walk: Tour of Historic Gay Dublin

12:00 PM, Mon, 19 Mar

Venue: Starting at Trinity College, Front Square, Dublin 2

Tickets: €7

Join the ultimate walking tour of historic gay Dublin hosted by well-known civil rights activist and historian Tonie Walsh, as he trawls the socio-cultural and political life of LGBT Dublin, from St. Patrick’s proposition by a band of randy sailors in the 4th century to decriminalization of male homosexuality and the advent of marriage equality in the 20th century. Expect two hours of education, illumination and possibly a little titillation.

Tonie Walsh is an activist and DJ who has been tireless in the pursuit of LGBT rights. He was the founding editor of GCN, he is the creator and curator of the Irish Queer Archive, and between the Horny Organ Tribe and responsibilities in the National Gay Federation, has made an indelible mark on queer culture in Ireland.
