Eamonn Doyle, Niall Sweeney, David Donohoe
Made In Dublin is an installation of sound and vision that plays out a series of infinitely unfolding events around the movement of people caught up in time and place.
And that place is Dublin.
The work builds on Doyle’s Dublin photography, with designs by Sweeney and sound by Donohoe, It has no beginning or end, playing itself continuously throughout, with each scene unique to the moment, never to be seen or heard again.
Made In Dublin is a panorama of the city: its fabric, populations and light — each shaping and wearing away at the autonomy of the other. Dublin appears in a continuous state of passing through, embroiled in some kind of choreography, with individual journeys compacting repetitively into the same streets. Made In Dublin reveals a city whose concrete is as plastic as the movement of its inhabitants.
WHERE WE LIVE is a ferocious response to the theme of home. It’s a kaleidoscope of stories about what it feels like to live in Dublin and Ireland today, told by some of the best storytellers on the island.
A programme of commissioned theatre pieces, work-in progress showings, dangerous ideas, live art and an exhibition.
We’re taking over the Complex in Smithfield for two weeks to tell funny, devastating, exhilarating and joyous stories that imagine and re-imagine what our city and country could be. We’re creating a TownHall, where discussion should be heated, performance will be red hot, and where opposing views are encouraged.
