After its return in 2008, this popular race celebrates its seventh year as one of the highlights of the St. Patrick’s Festival programme, gaining much media coverage. The course, which runs through Georgian Dublin, is open to families and fun runners as well as serious runners and dedicated athletes.
Each participant gets a commemorative t-shirt and a goody bag for taking part, and adding to the festive atmosphere, there will be a live band, jugglers, clowns, face painters, balloon artists, stilt walkers, fire eaters and a parade of motorbikes!
The race, on Sunday 16th March, starts at 12 noon from close to the St. Stephen’s Green/Dawson St. junction and finishes on St Stephen’s Green. Join us afterwards for celebrations at Race HQ with refreshments in Fire Restaurant, adjacent to the Mansion House on Dawson Street.
