St. Patrick’s Festival Parade

‘Let’s Make History’, the theme for the 2014 Festival Parade will be animated by Ireland’s leading pageant companies,  their fantastical creations and thrilling performances inspired by the past will enthral and excite.  Amidst the colourful pageantry, bands from the USA, Germany, Estonia and Ireland will deliver uplifting scores and rousing beats.

The spectacular procession will wind its way through the heart of Dublin city, bursting with colour and theatrics.

Watch out for one of Ireland’s most notable High Kings, Brian Boru, as Dublin celebrates the millennium anniversary of a great and seminal historic battle, the Battle of Clontarf 1014.

Parade Route

The Parade begins on Parnell Square and continues on to O’Connell Street and over O’Connell Bridge to Westmoreland Street.  It then winds its way down Dame Street and Lord Edward Street passing by Christchurch Cathedral and along Patrick Street where it finishes just past St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
