"One of the most beautifully euphoric live experiences"
BBC World Review
‘Softly spoken off stage and complete lunatics on it, Kíla have torn up the rulebook with their wantonly eclectic mix of styles, Brilliant!’
“Whatever it is... this is it. Kíla are right there at the cusp of it... Somehow you get the feeling they lit the fuse for the big bang.”

The show must go on… but it might not go on! The piano is horribly out of tune, Giuseppe Rallentando, the conductor, is having a nervous breakdown, and the leading lady, Irene Singalot, is refusing to sing even a note of the opera. Can Tony Melody save the day? Is this piano tuner up to the job? Will the world-renowned operatic duo be forced to cancel their Irish debut?
A one-act tragicomedy jam-packed with humour, live music, comic songs, hilarious characters and lots of surprises along the way, this quirky, pop-up opera will certainly not disappoint!
Curious State – Theatre & Street Spectacle Company present Le pOpéra, a comic street show suitable for all the family.
