An International Celebration of Irish Culture

St. Patrick’s Festival is a world renowned celebration. The day, and indeed the week around St. Patrick’s Day represent an unequalled opportunity to get our message out to audiences around the world. The St. Patrick’s Day period is a cornerstone of this Government’s efforts to promote trade, tourism, inward investment and culture abroad in order to foster increased economic growth and job creation at home. Throughout the month of March last year, as part of that initiative, over 40 events were supported by the Culture Ireland division of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht across 18 countries.
