Programme of Irish Documentary and Short Films Showcasing new theatrical documentaries, and live-action and animated shorts. A programme of Irish documentaries will expose European audiences to a distinctly Irish perspective on recent experience.
The programme will draw on the wealth of new theatrical documentaries (such as His and Hers, Bernadette: Notes on a Political Journey, The Pipe, Dreamtime, Revisited) to present a multi-faceted portrait of a small island nation which has long fascinated our European neighbours. A complementary programme of short films will present live-action and animated shorts, showing the breadth of talent at work today.
The Showcase Programme of new Irish shorts at the prestigious Brussels Short Film Festival on April 25th will include the best of recent live-action and animated shorts, showing the breadth of talent at work today.
The programme of Irish documentaries will also be shown at The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe.
