Watt by Samuel Beckett

Watt recounts the extraordinary adventure of an itinerant character who, one day, walks from a train station to the home of Mr. Knott, a mysterious man whom he will serve.  His struggle to make sense of the events around him is conveyed with elegance, pathos and fierce humour by Barry McGovern.

From the opening moment, Beckett’s trademark poetry, melancholy and deadpan comedy draw you into his truly distinctive world view. This adaptation stands alongside the best of his absurdist stage plays.

Watt is produced by the Gate Theatre Dublin, an international exponent of Beckett’s work.
