St. Patrick's Festival is delighted to be involved in Cruinniú na nÓg 2021, showcasing some of our much loved content from SPF Óg 2021.

On Saturday 12th June at 12pm, tune in to SPF TV for some science, history, reading and illustration!

First up is Science at Home with Dr Dan Nickström. Dr Dan explains the physics behind some of the everyday objects we find at home, and in this episode he shows us how a speaker works. Tune in and unravel the mysteries within!

Next we travel to Belfast for An Féileacán agus An Rí, a retelling of one of Ireland’s most ancient myths by author Máire Zepf. In Irish with subtitles in English.

This is followed by a fun illustration workshop with An Feileacán agus An Rí artist Shona Shirley Mc Donald, where you will learn how to create fantastical magical beasts for your own stories!

Sheets of paper or card – A3 & A4, paintbrush, water, scissors, ruler, colouring pencils and pens, pencil sharpener, eraser, BluTack, cold teabag

We finish off with the side-splittingly hilarious A Handy History of Ireland from Curious State. Tune in to hear all about Fungi the Dolphin's best friend Timmy and other questionable legends from Irish history.
