Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again

11:00 AM, Sat, 16 Mar

Venue: The Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre, Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2
Time: 11am - 4pm
Duration : 45 mins

Seamus Heaney is one of Ireland’s most loved poets and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. He donated his archives to the National Library of Ireland, which have been opened up to create a new exhibition. Throughout his career, Heaney asked us to really pay attention and to see the world anew, hence the name of the exhibition, “Listen Now Again”. See his notebooks, which show the drafting process for the poetry, along with to-do lists, diary entries, and even doodles.
This show is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate his creativity, his writing and a chance to really acknowledge how proud Ireland is of him.

The College Green building has been part of the fabric of Irish life since 1783 and how wonderful to celebrate arguably the greatest poet of his generation as the first major event at the new Cultural and Heritage Centre.
